The Gonzilla.tv Invitational
So all the kids are talking about the big news that is The Gonzilla.tv Invitational!*
On Saturday 29th September we are inviting the elite of the UK’s rail destroyers down to have a bash at bagging the all-or-nothing £1000 prize, kindly donated by Snowdome Tamworth, The Snowboard Asylum and yours truly Gonzilla.tv.
Snowdome Tamworth Schedule – Saturday 29th September
- 10am – 6pm TSA Big Bang Snowboard Show – demo next season’s kit and get coaching and advice from industry professionals (Tyrol Suite)
- 7pm Gonzilla.tv’s Portrait film premiere (Tyrol suite)
- 8pm Slope opens for Snowdome Tamworth Ramp Night
- 9pm The Gonzilla Invitational – 1hr Pro Jam
- 10pm Slope Grooming, Rider Vote and Prizegiving
- 10.30pm Ramp night continues until 12.00am
The event will be an intense hour’s jam on the rider designed setup. The riders themselves will vote on who they think deserves to win the cash. It’s up to them what they do with it after that!
We’ll be featuring a top setup designed and built by the dream team of Doug Johnson, Matt Higson and Ross Needham – all local to the Snowdome and all fully legit riders in their own right. You can be sure they know their way around building a sick setup, which you’ll be able to ride after the show.
But it’s not just for the pros – it’s an inclusive event too. The Tamworth Ramp night will run as usual, with the invitational jam happening for an hour in the middle. EVEN BETTER, we’re giving out 2 wild card places to riders on the night so if you fancy a piece of the pie then get on the slope for 8pm and impress the living shit out of us!
There will be room for spectators to get up close and personal to the action on the slope and on the balcony. Stick around and watch the show, cheer, go wild and we can guarantee you will be blown away by the standard of riding. It will be the most exciting thing to watch since the 1966 World Cup, this years Wimbledon Final and Mo Farah all got caught in a compromising position ON EVEREST… IN A HURRICANE.**
