Night Rail Session – Tamworth ’07

Jools Smith has recently rediscovered some old footage of Steve Owen and Matt Higson riding a handrail somewhere in the depths of Tamworth Snowdome. It’s a legit rail and with rubber flooring and steel stair treads, it’s definitely got some consequences if you get it wrong or even just come off early.

It looked like such a rad session and it’s a shame that this footy hasn’t been made more of before now.

Anyway, this is what Jools Smith has to say at it all; I’ve been going through some old stuff and found this video of Steve Owen and Matt Higson hitting the rail underneath Tamworth Snowdome. Such a good night.

In order to maintain the exclusivity of the shoot, Damian Doyle and Russ Shea asked me not to air any of the footage… So I kept it all on DVD. However, over the years the DVD got buried under loads of other junk and miraculously re-appeared two weeks ago!

I kinda figured that Damian and Russ wouldn’t mind me putting the video up now… 5 years on….
