Nike Chosen Series – Hemel Hempstead
Friday 16th December 2011, The Snow Centre, Hemel Hempstead. Andy Nudds performs the UK’s first ever indoor 1080 on the 13 metre beast of a kicker.
The Nike Chosen Series kicked off on our humble shores, the first of ten stops around Europe, picking up AM riders along the way to join the Nike Pro team at the final – to be held in a purpose built park at the end of the season.
Nuddsy was the Chosen One for this stop, but there was plenty more to shout about.
Scott Penman was getting crazy with the backside rodeos, young guns Marc McClement, Jesse Smith and Rowan Coultas manned up with some beefy tricks, whilst Angus Leith set about his tranny finder mission with a huge frontside 3 to flat transfer off the side of the kicker, bagging the ‘Most Creative’ title.
Serial contest participant Becky Menday took Best Girl with some frontside 180 action, whilst local legend Sam Cullum took the Best Style with a selection of tweaked 3′s and 5′s.
Nuddsy will be off to the final in April, along with all the other tour stop winners and the Nike Pro Team.
